♥ Fuchsia Pinky ♥
09 September 2009
It has been a week since the launch of Mod About Pink. The results have been pretty encouraging, judging from the number of hits attained within such a short span without any advertising done. Must be the works of you kind souls out there who have been clicking on it or forwarding the links to your friends. Thank you so much! If you haven't, it's not too late to do so. ;p

Hey Eunice, thanks for your support! Much appreciated. Hope you like the tops. :)
More launches coming up real soon.. so babes, do check out the blog or join the mailing list!

Can Oct come quick pls?
Concert, BKK trip, birthday celebrations.
I so need to get away from work.

Gone is the London trip.
All thanks to my female boss and an easily-swayed Chairman. I was so close to booking a ticket to London and she has to spoil it all. Oh wells, on the brighter side, at least I get to save money by not being able to splurge on more LV and Prada?

Here comes the two-door baby.
The white beauty arrived within a week. Whether or not it was an impulse, I'm glad we made the decision to get it. The thing I love most about is the sun roof and the colour - pearl white! I am eager to drive it but I must first brush up my driving skills. I MUST.

Last but not least, finally, it's done. I'm not sure how well this will work, but it's definitely worth a try. Doing something that I really love and sharing it with others.

Proudly presenting....*drum-roll pls*....Mod About Pink!http://modaboutpink.livejournal.com/

Heartfelt thanks to my sis, Noelle and Queenie for helping to make this possible! If you could spare some time to take a look at the blogshop and forward the link to all your friends (especially the shopaholic ones!), I would be so so grateful.

Thank you so very much in advance! :)

One step closer to the end of hard work... that leads to the beginning of a dream.

One step closer to owning something that has been yearned for ...that will mean having to dig into our savings.

One step closer to securing the final nod of approval...before I get to enjoy the SQ promo of $1224 to London. (cheap!)

Many more steps to booking the BKK shopping trip with the girls.
Can Jetstar have better promos pleassssseeee?
I so need to shop!

Finally found back my momentum. The 'feeling-fat' days are too much to endure and I know it's time to move my butt. All thanks to my significant other who wants to lose those love handles too, my sista who has been jogging pretty regularly and my BFF who is a sports lover (she plays floorball, volleyball during lunch!) - they give me the motivation.

Jogging. Check. Cardio Hi-Lo. Check. Kick-boxing. Check. Tennis. Check. Badminton. Later this evening! Though I'm a pretty much no ball-sense person, I kind of enjoy tennis though I end up whacking the air instead of the ball most of the time. But hey at least I can do a serve! I play tennis like I play badminton. My angles are damn weird and I smack the tennis ball?? I don't mind more tennis sessions. Shall see how I perform at badminton later.

Come to think of it. It's so silly. I dieted and exercised alot before my wedding and lost weight. But I got complacent after the wedding, thinking that I can resume eating and not exercise but still stay slim. Now here I am, trying hard to shed my fats. Sigh. Why. Ji Gei Lor Lei. If I had been more mindful of what I ate and continued my exercise regime, I wouldn't need to make such a conscious effort now to lose fats again. As Mike summed up nicely - see how long I can last. Tsk.

Caught Disney's latest movie Up last night. Beautiful and brilliant piece. Funny yet emotional and heartfelt. Really touched me. May very well be the most touching animated movie of the year. A must-see definitely.

A comfy and cosy cubicle is what I need to keep me motivated at work. Ok, not really motivated but it keeps me happy a little. Plain, boring cubes are a no-no for me. I used to put up tons of pictures on the office wall and colleagues will come by to scrutinize them. Haha. Music is a must too. I simply cannot work in an office that is menacingly quiet. I hate silence. So you could imagine how excited I was on my first day at work in MediaCorp a few years back. A personal TV, VCD/DVD player and cupboard full of tapes, DVDs and CDs in my cube. Watching dramas, movies, reality shows while at work. How nice. Life at work was wonderful then, minus the horrible politics.

Back to my cubicle,
I got really bored in the office one day and started snapping away.

my pink corner. :)

soft toys given to me by my colleague shirley who wastes
her money catching such stuff at the arcade. haha.

basket of snacks. mostly coffee!

getting all dusty!

so...too cutesy for your liking? ;)

I have finally started working on it. Still a long way to go I must say. But at least I've stopped procrastinating. Can't wait for everything to fall in place and see if it works. I'm excited.

Spent Saturday checking out the much hyped-about ION Orchard. The mall is pretty huge, brands were plentiful and there's this 'smell' about it that kind of made me feel like I was in States/Europe. The LV flagship store is pretty decent and I spot ladies buying bags like its dirt cheap. Prada's not opened yet but Miu Miu is. And guess what. Mike actually said that he would wanna get a Miu Miu for me. My heart skipped a bit. I was like really?? Haha. The designs are not as nice as those I've seen in Berlin and I don't think it's worth buying in Singapore anyway. Just as I'm writing this, Mike glanced at my screen and commented: I just say say only what. What?! Wth. I don't care. Not Miu Miu, fine. Prada then. Haha.

There's plenty of eateries at ION too. The food court is so nicely decorated with chandeliers that you would think it's a restaurant. But don't expect the price to be that cheap. Oh and there's Provence too! No need to travel all the way to Holland V to get the popular chocolate wassant. Not exactly cheap but they are just too irresistable! Fans of Ling Zhi Yuan bak kwa can also satisfy their cravings without having to trot down to Chinatown.

I think ION will do well. Orchard Central seem to pale in comparison. But both cater to different target audience I guess. Paragon will need to do more to retain its shoppers as most of the flagship stores are at ION.

I should be worrying about Bugis Street.

I survived. The 5km Shape Run that is. Quite disappointed with my timing though. Could have done better if I had not walked for 5 mins after the waterpoint. Didn't want to risk throwing up like one girl did. Surprisingly, I felt that this was a better run for me as compared to the previous two years. I was able to maintain a good momentum for the first 3km but slowed down thereafter. My stamina needs more work seriously. Targetting for a better timing next year!

I'm addicted.

Addiction no #1: Blogshops
All thanks to my sis and her friend Queenie, I'm now hooked on online shopping. It has been a daily affair checking out the blogshops and making sure new launches are not missed. But it's not like I buy every single nice piece I see. There are times when I see similiar designs at Bugis Street and cheaper! That is why I still insist that Bugis Street is the best place to shop in. I've been buying really nice tops and dresses for only $10! It's your loss if you don't shop at Bugis Street. Haha.

Addiction no #2: Bejweled Blitz
Ok I know this is lame, but it's really addictive! Initially I was laughing at my mum for spending so much time on FB playing BB, but now I know why she couldn't stop. Mum, Mike and myself spent the whole of last night clicking furiously!

Addiction no #3: Polka dots
I'm really nuts about polka dots. The recent 3 new pieces of clothes I bought are all in polka dots. And I spent almost an hour in Daiso last week buying unecessary stuff, just because they are in polka dots! I don't forsee this addiction to be gone so soon...
So, what's your addiction?
